Road Freight
Cross-border road freight and transshipment into SADC and neighbouring regions.
Road freight connects ports, warehouses and customers across Southern Africa — often as the first or last mile of an international move, and sometimes as the primary mode for regional distribution. We plan cross-border movements with trusted carriers, clear transit times and documentation suited to each corridor.
Regional coverage
From South African depots and port terminals we arrange delivery into Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Eswatini, Lesotho and other SADC destinations, subject to route, commodity and permit requirements. Import and export road legs are coordinated with ocean and air arrivals so cargo is not left idle at the border.
Full truckload & part loads
Full truckload (FTL) suits dedicated volumes — single consignee, defined collection and delivery windows. Part-load and groupage options may be available on select lanes where consolidation reduces cost for smaller shipments. We confirm vehicle type, payload and securing requirements for heavy or irregular cargo.
Port & warehouse transfers
Container haulage between port, CFS and your facility is scheduled around terminal free time and depot availability. We align with our warehousing team when de-stuffing, storage or re-dispatch is required, keeping one operational thread across modes.
- Cross-border FTL and part-load options into SADC
- Port-to-warehouse and warehouse-to-customer delivery
- Coordination with ocean and air imports for seamless handover
- Bonded and standard cargo movements where applicable
- Transit planning with realistic border and route allowances
Compliance & permits
Cross-border road freight may require permits, carnets, commodity licences or escorts depending on cargo type and destination. We advise during quoting so documentation is prepared before wheels roll — reducing delays at checkpoints.
